A group that hopes to promote and enhance the tourism branding of gateway communities by better connecting these communities to the public lands they are adjacent to. More specifically, this group is interested in tapping into the National Park Service Centennial campaign in 2016 in order to increase the visibility of gateway communities.

A group that is interested in identifying and bridging some of the gaps in communication among gateway community stakeholders.  In addition, this group is currently working on ways to document and promote successful collaborative projects that have been carried out in the past, so as to encourage other communities to pursue similar projects.

A group interested in developing planning processes that will better engage the public, civic leaders, and other stakeholders to support local, recreational, and tourist resources.

Economic Development

A group interested in helping gateway communities identify their natural assets so that they can realize the full economic benefits of being adjacent to public lands.  More specifically, this group hopes to connect local community leaders with public land managers, identify barriers to economic growth, and locate available funding sources for gateway communities.

A group whose primary interest is in preserving environmental characteristics of public lands and gateway communities through youth education.

A group that is helping to identify various funding sources for gateway communities and their adjacent public lands.  These funding sources include federal, state, and private grants.

Quality of Life

A group interested in developing planning processes that will better engage the public, civic leaders, and other stakeholders to support local, recreational, and tourist resources. Ultimately, this group hopes to empower communities so that they can better protect the local environmental, cultivate authentic culture, enhance social relationships between residents and visitors alike, and maximize their economic benefits.
